The second specilization has begun! We have 2 briefs which both sound fun and challenging, we're all excited about it. At the same time spring has really hit karlskrona, so i'm happy!!

Now we have a full week for our portfolio alone. This is great for most people, but I get bored! What the hell am I supposed to do in Karlskrona for 7 days? I can get drunk, and maybe eat pizza. That's about it.

I've finally finished my portfolio (www.tommig.se) and I'm very satisfied with it. I just emailed 3 of the coolest and most fitting agencies I found in Berlin, so hold your thumbs for me.

It's time for a new assignment for me in Hyper Island, I just finished the last one. I will write about it here, it was really fun and interesting. We made a concept for campaign for Telenor, i can't say what we did, since it SO DAMN CLASSIFIED! But it was great.

So, with the portfolio and the new look for the blog I'm ready to change the world!

I've been forgetting about this little blog for a while, too much happening in school. But now the time is here, its update-o-clock.

Since the new year i've had my ass full of assignments and groups, i went to Amsterdam with my Project Management group and visited a couple of different agencies there, Tribal DDB, Twothings, Amsterdam Worldwide, Weiding and kennedy and 180. It was fun, really fun. I think i've found some places i'd like to do my internship at, though Amsterdam isnt really my favourite city in the world. But that's not really why im going in the first place anyway, time will tell.

Anyways, now i'm planning a workshop for tomorrow and writing what im going to say in my presentation of what we've been up to in Amsterdam. It's tomorrow, so alot of stuffs to do as always.

That's all for christmas and new years eve. I had a great time with my family during christmas, alot of candy, beers and presents. And food ofcourse.

Anyway's i went to the great berlin for new years eve, had so much fun i'm almost ashamed. Just got home today and made this picture you see here, and a couple more in the same style.

I still havent really decided what i'm going to choose for my specialisation modules, but i think it will be first project management and then design. This way i can change my mind and take project management again if i feel like it, or get a deeper knowledge about design if PM was all wrong.

Time for a status report for all my loving fans out there, hi mom!

I´ve had my ass full of individual and still didn´t really make it in time, but it´s all finished atlast. Now it´s full of group assignment instead, while my head is full of "ihatemoney". I wish there was some kind of way to live outside the capital world, and still not living in a forest eating roots and watching my fingers fing. Like a cityrat or something. Or anything... Well well, i dont haveto like it i just haveto live it.

Hey hey, it´s time for another update in the fabolous life of mine. G life. We have so much things to do now. A lot of work in the groups and a lot with the individual assignment. I´m project manager in my agency in this module, it´s really fun, kind of hard and challenging but that´s the way I like it. Right now I´m sitting in Ångan, listening to Nikolaj Knop, or actually waiting for him to start this lecture.

In my private life im having a hard time making my economy work out ok, these damn bills are building up. I got my electricity bill on top of all this. Great times.

new info about the module Visual Communication

Hello all my dear readers and fans, here´s the new update on the fabulous life of Tommi G.

Yesterday we got a bunch of info about the module, what needs to be done and so on, seemed like a lot of things at first, but i think i can get five on it pretty easily. We are divided into new groups, playing the role as an agency, for the groups we had before. So the "company" we created in the last module is getting a graphic concept by the new groups, or the "agency" if you so wish. So, alot of meetings and stuff, briefing and debriefing and so on. That´s the group task, we also got an individual task, in which I´m making 3 different things that markets the movie The nightmare before christmas. Using 3 different main tools. So it´s proboably going to be a poster, movieclip, and something more fun and less obvious, im still thinking about the last one. Oh, and i haveto choose some kind of important/famous artist of some kind to copy the style of for the indivual task, dont ask me why. Email me tips instead.

Now we´ve had our presentations for the investors, it didn´t go as well as i´ve hoped. They said our budget was unrealistic, but the idea was great. So now we have alot of complimentary work to do, alot alot. That sucks ass because it was so boring to do, and none of us want´s to do it again. But I guess thats one of the realities at hyper island / something I will have to deal with.

I´m really bummed out about it, I thought we would kick ass.

So, new module tomorrow, exciting as hell. It´s called visual communication, sounds really interesting to me anyways.

I´m learning Flash!! And it´s great! I´m just about 50% done with my portfolio now, I feel like a king. It´s looking pretty sweet, but there´s always room for improvement.

It made a ugly html site when i was a kid, but since then i´ve not touched anything like it. Until now!

Sundays suck so bad. Im sitting in my dirty apartment and listening to Cornelis Vreeswijk and all i want is to go back in time and lie on the floor in my livingroom and watch my dad vacuumclean while i joke around with my mom. I miss the special happiness that only fridays in rydebäck can bring! kexchoklad and cornelis is special.

we had a dropoutofschool party for Byron yesterday, he´s going back to brazil today. Don´t really know why, but i guess it wasn´t his cup of fantastic coffee. So, big big party, at playbar, kind of fun since Byron never drinks alcohol. The only solution was for us to drink for him aswell.

Today we had a creative day with pearls at Caroline´s, it was really fun, I made this fine piece of art to put on my refrigerator. The letters glow in the dark, it´s so damn cool!! Especially since i dont have any real lights in my kitchen.

Johanna went and bought pan pizza for me, and i got close to a mouthgasm!

Now we´re watching Tila Tequila, MTV know´s how to make just a bad idea into a really lousy tvshow, creds to MTV for that. I´m watching it though... Shame on me.

Earlier today i made pretty much all of the things for my portfolio to come, and tomorrow im going to finish it in flash. The day after that I´ll proboably take over the world, starting with you´r turf!

Its a new time, we got ourselves a new president, hopefully a better one than that idiot we all have learned to hate.

Now im sitting in school waiting for my group to show up, were going to finalize our concept and then do research to see how much it will cost and how were going to execute it.

Right now im bored out of my mind. Drawing stupid things in illustrator and listening to music.

We have our idea, a kickass one. Im not telling anything yet, but if you think a black president is a big thing, you aint seen nothing yet baby!

i got the new macbook toshiba, limited edition. the story is this; Steve jobs brainstormed for 48hours straight, and come up with the solution for making macintosh really really great, and he found out theres only one thing thats really wrong with the macs you have today. Its not PC, so, he called up toshiba and said "hey boyos, lets do a mashup", the result was sent to a cutting edge student of digital media. Me!

its working really great, using windows vista. Finally i have a mac that doesent suck ass!

Still on point, im sitting and waiting for our first lecture to start. This morning i woke up early and wanted coffee more than sleep so i got up and started working. I came up with a bunch of ideas and drew a badass burner, spelling Jimmy. I dont know why i write ppls names, especially ppl i dont know. Well well, its good training or whatever.

Ive moved into my kitchen, closer to coffee and not as messy as my livingroom. And i got the work done.

My lecture is starting, off to command and conquer.

Its the new module! And its fun, so far atleast. Today we got divided into small groups and are to develop ideas and so on. My group were supposed to find the targetgroup for accessories, who buys them, who uses them and what do they need and want. And how we can make it better. So we did, now were waiting for the class to start again so we can have our presentations.

Tonight im gonna come up with 50 ideas, deadline is tomorrow. Right now i have like 10 ideas, really good ideas though but not enough. Im gonna get that investmentmoney, no doubt.

And thats the end of the Experience Technology 2008 module, it has been alot of fun. I wish i could have it again, just like the motionweek. So no more Cream Team, and no more Scratch This. Atleast not for a while, perhaps were having a exhibition in London as well, keep your fingers clickin.

Anyways, time for a new module. Concept and development, sounds like fun, i like ideas. Were having live investors, ready to sponsor a real business idea. Its gonna be really cool to try and win their confidence. Im on my toes for this one, again.

So, were in the finishing stages of our prototype "Scratch This!", its going to be pretty great, i think. Im not involved in the coding, but its looking fly and the logo is a burner baby! Anyways im making a poster for the ET08 exhibition, and asked too many ppl for feedback, so now i know ppl want a minimalistic-wild-colorful-blackandwhite-muchinfo-lowinfo-tech-punk- poster. So ive decided to go with my gutfeeling instead.

Im on my way to school now. Another great weekend.

I spent my saturday being crazy hungover, managed to get myself to the Artyparty at school but couldnt really do anything there. My hangovers seem to compete with eachother in which is the worst.
Anyways i decided i needed to make myself happy so i moved my tv to the table and made a great workspace. Now i just wanna brag about it. Im sitting here trying to make something good for the Experience Technology 2008 exhibition, guess ill see what kind of feedback i get on it.

Tomorrow its time to get things going, were proboably getting the turntable by then, i hope atleast. We need to style it, make it look really pretty. Get all the rfidtags in there, the reader, make it work well with flash. Make a pretty interface for the game and so on.

Hey again all my fans (i mean hello mom!). Its time for an update. Im making music now, trying to make some beats for our game, its really hard, ive stepped out of my comfort zone, broke the windows of it and tagged the walls of it. So im really uncomfortable now, thats why im writing my blog instead of doing it.

Today im going to have a meeting with sthlm´s part of the design team so we can get some work done, we need to finish a graphic profile for the exhibition this weekend so the pressgroup can start sending invitations and such. Alot of work in other words. But its great, its really fun to work with something this real, it really matters if i get my shit together or not.

Now were working hard with coding and stuff to get the rfid to work well with flash. Im not coding though, ive been drawing stylish 80´s techno hiphopish logos, i mean graffiti, and trying to make some music for the actual game, which is kind of hard but me and zackattack will get it right, tomorrow.
Anyways i got us a free recordplayer, which is great, thanks Varubörsen Kalmar.

Im also in the Exhibition Group, and its little spawn, the design group. So im basically in the group which is gonna take care of all the prettyness everywhere, in your invites, magazines, on the location and in your pants honey.

So im busy, but its great!

I havent been able to update this in a while, but today it seems im bored enough. Well weve had a module called Communication Skills, wich was alot ot fun, and helpful, i think i learned a bit.

Now were just starting this module called Experience Technology, which is gonna be fuckin great! My crew, the cream team, got RFID tags as our thing. We have a plan but its topsecret so i wont tell.

Most of the class went on a boattrip to poland and partied alot and stuff, it got pretty crazy but thats the way we like it in dm.
